Our Event Format
Act 1: Dancer Open Mic
Step up to the challenge or cheer from the sidelines at our Dancer Open Mic segment. Here, participants choose their favorite tracks and showcase their best moves in a supportive, exhilarating environment. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or a first-timer, this segment offers a platform to shine, share, and revel in the dance community's energy.
*The Open Mic portion can be swapped out for a dance improv workshop.
Act 2: The Free Your Mind Dance Challenge
Elevate the experience in our signature segment, the Free Your Mind Dance Challenge. In this thrilling challenge, volunteers from the audience perform songs selected randomly by our host, responding to spontaneous prompts. It's an exhilarating mix of therapy and entertainment, designed to liberate performers from the constraints of choreography and predetermined beats. Here, daring souls of any background can volunteer to step into the spotlight, facing the music as it plays, unrehearsed and unpredictable. The only certainty is the element of surprise—the song is chosen at random by the host and revealed only as it starts to play.
Celebrating Together
Time and time again, we see that this show really sparks a passion in both our performers and the audience. By the time we’re done, everybody wants to dance! We love to wrap up our event with a casual dance party and time to mingle. We create the vibe, encourage people to make friends, and boogie down with the cast.
